Policies

My relationship with my clients is grown from mutual trust and respect. All clients must agree to the policies below as a condition of working with me.

New Clients:

There are no same day appointments scheduled for new clients. After booking, all new clients will receive a brief phone call so I can introduce myself, discuss with you any concerns, allergies, and assess your needs to make sure we are a good fit.

Prior to your first appointment, you will be required to complete an online confidential intake form included in your appointment confirmation email. As I prepare herbal teas for herbal applications the day before each session, I require these intake forms to be completed and sent to me 24 hours before your session. This helps me review your allergies and any conditions you are dealing with to help prepare for your appointment. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early so you do not lose any of your session time. Your session will start and end on time. This form must also be updated once a year or any time there are significant changes to your health history (ex. surgery, major illness).

At your first visit, I conduct a thorough intake interview where I cover your health history and your goals. We will discuss your treatment plan in detail so there are never any surprises during your session.

It is my commitment to help you get what you came for. Your comfort and satisfaction is my TOP priority! If you have any questions, please let me know. I look forward to meeting you!

Appointment Types:

I offer three main types of services: therapeutic and herbal massage, herbal and wellness consulting, and coaching and hypnotherapy services. Though these appointments can be scheduled back to back, each appointment type needs to be scheduled separately with the corresponding new client and intake appointments.

Appointment Times:
Please note that the time you have booked is the length of your entire appointment.

Massage Appointments:
I do my best to maximize your hands-on time, but please be aware that it is rarely the full length of the appointment. Expect up to 20 minutes for the intake interview at your first visit and approximately 10 minutes follow up during subsequent visits.

If you want more hands-on time, I recommend booking at least 90 minutes.

Privacy Policy:
In order to better serve you, I keep detailed notes to track your healing journey and better support you. Confidentiality is observed at all times. Your consent is required to releasing any information in your file. Additionally, if you consent, I may discuss your case with the other healthcare providers involved in your care in order to best serve you.

Card on File:

This time is scheduled just for you and only you which is why I require a credit card on file or prepayment to reserve and guarantee your appointment. (Note, a Card on File is still required even if you are using a Gift Certificate to pay for your appointment). However, it WILL NOT be charged unless you do not adhere to the Cancellation/Reschedule/No-Show policy.

Cancellation/Reschedule/No-Show Policy:

Sometimes things happen and you have to cancel or reschedule your appointment and that's OK. There is no fee if notification is given at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.

As a sole practitioner, 100% of my income comes from my valued clients.
Therefore, when you cancel on short notice, my business is jeopardized. I have lost time and money preparing herbal applications for you (it takes 24 hours to make). You're also taking an appointment away from someone else who could benefit from my care.

I have a strict 24 hour cancellation policy. Notification of cancellation, rescheduling or reducing your appointment duration that is given less than 24 hours prior to the appointment time for any reason will result in a 100% charge of the reserved service amount.

Seriously. Any reason--emergency, double-booking, you forgot, alien abduction, or a Sasquatch encounter.

The only exception is if you are contagiously sick I want you to stay home and get better! However, if you do not call and notify me within 4 hours or no show to your appointment, it will be treated as a no show and charged accordingly.

This policy is necessary to protect my most valuable resource--my time!

The good news is that I honor my policy as well! If I ever cancel on you on short notice, your next session is free. I value your time. Thank you for valuing my time too.

Arriving Late:

Out of respect and consideration, please arrive 10-15 minutes early for any appointment in order to get the full time scheduled. Your session will start and end on time. If you arrive right on time or late, I can only give you whatever time remains of your appointment and you will be responsible to pay the full length of the session you requested.  If you are 15 minutes late and I have not heard from you, your appointment will be cancelled and you will be charged as a no show.

Refusal of Service:

I reserve the right to refuse or discontinue treatment at any time. Reasons may include, but are not limited to, the following:

-inappropriate behavior, intoxication, or drug use
    -illness or infectious conditions
    -contagious or unidentified skin conditions

-repeated no shows and/or late cancellations

If you exhibit any of the above, you'll be denied treatment and charged for the appointment.

Thank you for keeping my practice safe.
